Alastair and his four siblings were dropped off at a shelter down south, and NELR was happy to be contacted by rescue friends about the adorable group. We don’t think it was the most uplifting start to life, so they’re all a little shy and submissive, but very kind and want so badly to be happy, carefree pups! Alastair is as sweet as he is handsome, and just wants to live a happy life and enjoy every moment with you. He’s good on leash and eager to learn. He’s been practicing some training with hand signals and will be happy to continue training and communication with you, or even try a “job” (like retrieving!). He’s met kids ten years old an up and done great with them, but the cat he met was a little scary! He’s ready to share his smiles with a loving family that will value him.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
