Avery is very friendly and outgoing with humans and dogs. He has been practicing his basic cues and has learned sit, stay, come, and down. He knows a hand cue to go to his crate but enjoys it for naps and relaxing between play sessions as well. His leash skills are also on point, learning to wait at doorways and listen to correction. He’s very treat motivated and smart; continued bonding over positive-reinforcement training will be a great way to develop communication with your new family member. Avery loves toys, especially squeakers and chew bones, and he is currently learning all about fetch. He would do well in a family that will include him in adventures and give him loving attention as he thrives on being a little social butterfly. He’d also do well with a dog sibling since he’s a great age to learn from and play with other doggos. He’s loving, playful, sweet, and “a complete joy to be around” according to his foster!
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
