Bonnie and her four siblings were dropped off at a shelter down south, and NELR was happy to be contacted by rescue friends about the adorable group. We don’t think it was the most uplifting start to life, so they’re all a little shy and submissive, but very kind and want so badly to be happy, carefree pups! Bonnie is a little bit more confident than the others, including being less afraid of the cat! She’s been pretty quick at learning that leash time is a more positive experience now, and she is very treat-motivated and willing to learn with positive reinforcement. Just like her siblings, she’s super-duper sweet and ready to love and be loved in a forever family of her own!

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
