Brooke’s time was up at an overfull shelter down south, and thankfully some rescue friends reached out to NELR and we were happy to be able to help her. Brooke was saved from euthanasia and brought to a lovely foster home where she could get the royal treatment and vet care. During her vetting, she was found to be heartworm-positive, so she stayed down south for a bit to go through her treatment, but now she’s all done, feeling great and is ready to find her loving forever home  in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine (*due to some state’s regulations regarding transport of recently heartworm positive animals). She’s settling in well up here with her northern fosters and their dogs, and is so excited about finding her forever family and happily ever-after! She’s good with cats, dogs, and kids (and was so gentle with the neighbor's 2 and 3 year-olds), and is such a sweetie! She loves swimming and would be thrilled with a family that will take her to swim spots. She walks really nicely on leash, knows a few basics, and is potty & crate trained. Overall she’s an easy-going, happy girl that is going to fit right into a loving family!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
