Camila was rescued in southern Texas after spending her short life chained in an overgrown backyard. She had no shelter from the scorching heat, rain, or storms, and food and water were only given when her owner felt like it. When he grew tired of her and planned to “get rid of her,” a kind foster thankfully stepped in and convinced him to surrender Camila.

The moment her chain was finally removed was nothing short of heartbreaking to watch, yet also deeply moving. Despite everything she endured, her tail began to wag, her eyes lit up, and she was ready to love. At first cautious, as if unsure whether it was safe to be happy, Camila quickly realized this was her new life. Since then, her tail hasn’t stopped wagging!

Camila is a goofy, playful, and affectionate girl who loves people and adores being part of a family. She does wonderfully in her crate (especially with a treat as encouragement) and is potty trained.

She loves toys of any kind, especially ones that keep her busy, and she thrives on both mental and physical stimulation. Food is her favorite thing; she’ll even toss her bowl around to let you know when she’s hungry! She's a super sweet little lady that gets along with everyone, but she does like to greet with happy "hugs and kisses" so she would probably do best with slightly older/bigger kiddos. She's also found a love for water with her foster and would have a great time splashing around anything from a kiddie pool to a lake with her new family. She’s absolutely ready for this happily ever after and to find a family that surrounds her in safety and love (that she can’t wait to return)!

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
