Kush was found as a stray in an area down south that has a heartbreaking number of dogs without homes. She luckily crossed paths with one of our rescue friends who took her in and got her vetted. Our rescue friend helps SO many dogs in need, so NELR was happy to help them find this little sweetie a forever home up here in New England. She was originally named “Angel” but quickly earned the new nickname “Kush” after showing her love for all things cushy and comfy, and she will curl up in them every chance she gets! It also matches her sweet personality that is soft, gentle, and wants to be surrounded by comfort and love. She gets along well with everyone, including cats and kids. She also gets along with other dogs but would be delighted to be an only-dog to really get that pampered life with all the pats, beds, toys, and attention for once 🥰 She is going to be so fun to spoil! Kush is loving home and family life and is potty & crate trained, but is still young and would do great with some basic positive reinforcement training to help her grow into the best family member as well as strengthen your bond together. She is ready to bring love, joy, and a whole lot of cuddles and comfort to her forever family!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
