A Texas foster was out searching for different stray dog reported in the area when they happened upon Princess, and thank goodness they did. Princess was severely dehydrated, sick, and hurting. She was taken to receive vet care right away, and they noted an old, healed leg injury that most likely meant she was thrown from a car, discarded as so many dogs are down south, sadly. In true dog fashion - and this is just one of the many, many reasons we love dogs - despite it all, she was in good spirits and so grateful for the help. No matter how bad she felt, she was gentle and trusting, even wagging her tail and enjoying belly rubs from her new human friends. She’s never shown anything but sweetness and love and we are so excited to get her into a forever home that will return he sentiments the way she deserves! She’s looking and feeling great after some TLC with a southern foster who says, “She’s one in a million!” She’s learned some basic cues, is potty & crate trained, and loves toys and snacks which is helpful in any further positive reinforcement training. She loves everyone, is super gentle, and is always ready to receive affection. Princess has been good with other dogs as well as kiddos but doesn’t know her own size so bigger pets and kids are best while she’s still learning. She also loves playtime but knows how to lay down and take a break when she needs to. She is young and will need to be spayed when age-appropriate. Continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your house is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member ❤️

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
