Tex was on the euthanasia list at an overfull southern shelter but thankfully the rescue network reached out and NELR is happy to help find him a loving forever home up here in New England. Tex is very social, friendly, and loves to play with other dogs. He also knows how to take it easy and settle down for some quiet time. He’s doing pretty well on leash and is eager to please and trainable. He likes kiddos but is a young, playful 1 year-old, so older/bigger kids would probably be best for now. He also enjoys the company of some dogs, selectively (same as us with humans 😜), but we think he'd love a home as an only dog to soak up all the love. He loves people and is an affectionate pup that can’t wait to be part of a family. He enjoys hanging around his favorite humans, napping and giving kisses, getting some playtime with friends, and even thinks this snow stuff is pretty fun!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
