Venus and her siblings were the result of a yellow Lab meeting up with a neighboring German Shorthaired Pointer, and - oops! Our rescue friends down South are working tirelessly to turn the tides on the overpopulation issue due to lack of spaying/neutering in order to prevent such “oopsies.” Mama Dog’s humans have agreed to have her spayed, and are keeping her in the family which we are so happy about. NELR is also pleased to help find safe, loving homes for this sweet litter of Lab/GSPs up here in New England! Venus was thankfully born into a home setting and has known that safety since birth. She’s all the typical, adorable things you’d want in a puppy; playful, affectionate, and full of cuddles, napping, eating, and playing. She’s friendly with everyone and is excited to start her life with her forever family. She’s a smart pup and has been learning a lot, but continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your forever home is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member.
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
