Vince’s mom wandered into a yard down south, looking for a safe place to have her babies. Luckily, she found a lovely older woman who wanted to keep her and her litter safe from the euthanasia lists, so she did everything she could for them. The wonderful caregiver kept them as long as she could while our southern rescue friends tried to find them homes, but the south is so overwhelmed with homeless/stray dogs that it was a tall task. The time has come for the nice caregiver to move to an assisted living facility, so NELR was asked if we could find homes up north where there is a better chance for these pups.

Vince is friendly and laid-back. He enjoys the company of female dogs, but could do fine as a single dog as well. He has been good with kids, and was gentle around his elderly human mom, but he does like to chase kitties. Most of all, he really loves having his humans around and would make a great work-from-home/stay-at-home companion who will flatter you with his adoration. He also loves to get in lots of sniffs and/or go on walks with his people and then cuddle up not he couch. He does well on leash and did good on vet visits. Vince has started learning basic cues with his foster and is smart and treat-motivated. He can be a little shy at first, but once he’s used to things he just goes with the flow. He can’t wait to be a part of a wonderful New England family and experience all sorts of fun things!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
