You may recognize beautiful Whiskey Mae from her “puppy shower” that so many of you kindly donated to (thank you!) ❤️ She and her pups have been thriving down south with all of the wonderful supplies you’ve helped with and they’re now ready to settle into New England homes of their own! 

 

Whiskey and the neighboring dog were both intact and ended up with a bit of a surprise one day - ok, a fairly large litter of surprises! Whiskey’s owner then faced a tough situation when their landlord demanded all puppies and Whiskey be removed within 24 hours. With no other options, mama and babies were headed for the shelter—that was already overflowing. That meant these little ones would be an “owner surrender,” which means they had the shortest window to be adopted in such an already busy shelter (strays have a slightly longer hold period before ending up on the euthanasia list in case an owner can be found). Thankfully one of our amazing southern foster friends stepped up to help save all these lives and rearrange her home at a moment’s notice to keep them safe and with Whiskey to nurse and learn! 

 

Whiskey is the happiest, friendliest girl and will be delighted to be someone’s special baby now that she’s done raising her own (and spayed for the future!). She’s potty trained and has been loving all the attention she’s been getting in foster care. She gets along with other dogs of all ages and is just the sweetest, prettiest little lady. She would probably enjoy another playful pup in the home or access to frequent playdates. She can’t wait to live it up with some lucky family of her own up here in New England!

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
