Bennie was found as a stray down south and was spared just in time on his euthanasia day (do to overcrowding and constant intakes in shelters down south), thanks to our amazing southern rescue friends keeping an eye out and alerting NELR. He’s a friendly, loving boy and we’re so excited that he has a second chance at a happily ever-after with a forever family he can bring lots of joy to! He seems to have been familiar with home life at some point and already knows some basic cues and is potty & crate trained. He’s been good on leash and in fenced yards, and loves playtime with toys. He’s also good with other dogs and has been a joy for the humans who have handled him. Bennie has been loving the affection and positive attention from all these nice people he’s been meeting on his rescue journey, and has been such a good boy since arriving at his New England foster home. He’s so ready to be a part of a loving family he can play with, snuggle, and have lots of amazing adventures with!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
