Ways to Help
~Every Bit Helps, Thank You!~
FOSTER

Fostering a dog can save a life!
When a dog is moved from a full shelter to a foster home, not only is it keeping that dog safe from euthanasia, but it frees up more space in the shelter for other dogs.
The process for most of the dogs taken into the care of New England Lab Rescue is...
-
To be pulled from overcrowded shelter euthanasia lists in the South and placed into immediate Southern foster care to receive vetting and decompression time in preparation for transport north.
-
When our dogs are ready to travel and receive health certificates, they wait for a transport trip scheduled for New England.
-
Once in New England they land in their final foster homes to await one last move - their forever homes!
We are always looking for fosters in the South (AL, GA, NC, SC, TX), and New England!
VOLUNTEER

We are a volunteer-based rescue with plenty of opportunities for you to lend a hand!
Fostering is our biggest need, but we also have...
-
Remote roles that can be done from your phone and computer, such as becoming an Adoption Coordinator.
-
Do you prefer the open road? We also often need help with smaller transports of one or two dogs such as from a Transport Van stop to a foster home, etc.
-
Social opportunities like joining our Events Team for meet & greets at local dog-friendly businesses.
