At  <50lbs, "Big Boy" may not live up to his name in looks, but he sure does in heart! Big Boy has a loving heart that's ready for a family ❤️ He comes from our rescue friends down south where it's overcrowded and hard to find enough welcoming homes to save lives, so NELR is happy to welcome this wonderful pup. He's a smiley, laidback, friendly boy that's really good with other dogs and people of all ages. He's good on leash and enjoys hiking and playing in the water, which is perfect for beautiful New England! He’s so appreciative of home life and all the kind people and pampering, but it's all a bit new to him (sadly), so he would benefit from positive reinforcement training since he can’t know what he hasn’t been taught – but that’s also a great way to bond and develop excellent communication with your new family member ❤️ Most of all, he just loves hanging out with his favorite humans and can't wait to join some as a beloved family member.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
