Captain is a handsome boy that was saved by our southern rescue friends and is looking to find a wonderful home in Lab-loving New England. He’s got a serious, distinguished face but is really a mushy marshmallow that loves to spend time with his people. He would enjoy a family that is around a lot and takes him along for outings because he thrives on being part of the fam 🥰 He has a loud bark to match his size, but he’s just trying to communicate his needs. Positive reinforcement training is helpful in developing great communication between you and your new, fuzzy family member so you both feel heard and supported. He’s been through a lot of changes recently and would appreciate a home that helps him decompress and settle in by going slow and having some quiet time for the first few days. Otherwise he is your typical lab that loves to be a part of things! His southern foster says “he has been an absolute pleasure to have around!”

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
