Duck is a loving boy that sadly did not have a lot of experiences and guidance at the start of his life. He is now a full-size “puppy” that is looking for a loving person or family to help him be his very best self. He can’t know what he hasn’t been taught, so he would benefit from positive reinforcement training to better understand what life in your home will be like, and to develop easy communication between you and your new family member. Duck is very sweet and would be a lap dog if you have the room for him! He just wants to be carefree and loved, but needs consistency and proper mental and physical outlets to help him sort out life as a loved and cared-for pet for a change. A rotation of toys, food puzzles, sniffari walks, and playtime will be amazing outlets to help his brain and body feel happy and safe. He’d really love a home where he can be with his people a lot to make up for lost time. He’d also love to be the only dog in the home so he never feels like he has to compete. He’s good with kids but a big goof so we’d recommend older/bigger kiddos. A fenced yard is not required but would be beneficial as a place to easily spend enriching time together and get some sillies out. If you’d like to make a meaningful change in a rescue dog’s life, Duck would appreciate it and return the favor with endless love and admiration!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
