Hunnie was found as a stray down south and was spared just in time on her euthanasia day (do to overcrowding and constant intakes in shelters down south), thanks to our amazing southern rescue friends keeping an eye out and alerting NELR. She’s a friendly, loving girl and we’re so excited that she has a second chance at a happily ever-after with a forever family she can bring lots of joy to! She seems to have been familiar with home life at some point and already knows some basic cues and is potty & crate trained. She’s been good on leash and in fenced yards, and loves playtime with toys. She’s also good with other dogs and loves getting to be a playful pup and play with like-minded goofballs. Hunnie has been loving the affection and positive attention from all the nice people she’s been meeting on her rescue journey, jumping right in her NE foster’s car and doing great during bath time. She’s been good with the foster kids, but loves and seeks out the company of her new grown-up friends. She’s so ready to be a part of a loving family she can play with, snuggle, and have lots of amazing adventures with!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
