Keno (formerly known as Barley) is a sweet, handsome boy that was originally saved from euthanasia at a full southern shelter. He almost found his forever home, but it has ended up being too “bustling” living the city life, and his adopters feel he’d have better quality of life in a more rural, chill setting. He gets on well with kids in a calm, familiar setting, but having strange animals and people buzzing by while he tries to take his walkies is just kind of “ugh” for him (we get that!). We think he’d thrive in a rural, easy-going, calm home where he can relax as a beloved family member. He’s potty & crate trained, though he also does well in the home without being crated. He makes an excellent companion and will provide lots of loving company to some lucky person/family!

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
