Beautiful Lucy was scheduled for euthanasia due to lack of space at the crowded shelter and a constant stray and surrender intake of dogs down south. You may recognize this beautiful gal from our Have a Heart Fundraiser for heartworm treatments. During her routine vetting, she was found to be heartworm-positive, so she stayed down south a little longer to go through her treatment, but now she’s all done, feeling great and is ready to find her loving forever home in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine (*due to some state’s regulations regarding transport of recently heartworm positive animals). She was also quite matted and needed a shave to reset the neglect to her beautiful coat. Thank you so much to all who donated, every bit helped!

Lucy is a lovely girl that’s playful, smart and friendly. She loves playtime with other dogs, or toys, or both! She walks pretty well on leash, though like many she can pull a bit when she’s following something interesting. She’s fully potty and crate trained and does really well with grooming. She also loves water and can’t wait to visit some of the great New England swimming holes! She’s excited to start her happily ever after with a loving family she can live life to the fullest with 🥰

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
