Mack and his brother Norman were in a full southern shelter, petrified from all the strange noises and smells, with little hope of being adopted since they are sadly overrun with strays down there. The euthanasia list was quickly approaching, so our rescue friends connected with NELR and we worked together to get them into the safety of a foster home so they could come up north to New England to fully begin their lives in safety and happiness. Their southern foster describes them as typical puppies; a little shy at first, but friendly with everyone and full of playfulness once they’re comfy. Mack has a great time being silly with other dogs, but also loves a good cuddle on a friendly human lap. He’s super eager for food and treat-motivated. He has been doing well with potty & crate training, but continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your house is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member.
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
