When Miss Peggy was found at only 6 months old, she had already endured unimaginable pain. This precious little girl was brought to an Alabama animal hospital after someone found her living under a porch. X-rays revealed buckshot throughout her damaged rear leg, and sadly the leg had become severely infected and rotted away. Despite everything she has suffered, this sweet puppy remains incredibly gentle, trusting, and loving. She, in fact, can’t get enough of being your buddy and would love a home with family around more often than not. She loves to check out what you’re doing and keep you company 🥰 She was so brave during her surgery and recovery and is now thriving in a home setting where all her needs are met and then some! She plays, climbs stairs and gets around just fine, and is delighted to live without all that pain. She’s been practicing her puppy basics to catch up on lost time, but she does well on leash and is an easy-going little gal. She’s so excited to start her happily ever after full of love and safety!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
