Adoptable Oso has been with a family since birth, but when things changed, our southern rescue friends connected him and NELR so we could get him up north to some New England Lab-lovers! (We’re told he’s actually a Lab/Chow mix, but we do not have DNA confirming anything.) One thing’s for sure, he is a love bug! He’s a bit clumsy at this stage, feeling like a little puppy inside while having a big fella body on the outside 😄 His previous world was pretty small, mostly kept to a 10x10’ kennel outside, so he did not have a lot of varied experiences and he’s still figuring a lot of things out, but he is a sweet boy that aims to please, is treat-motivated, and is grateful for more opportunities to live life to the fullest! He’s already doing well with leash walking and is potty & crate trained, but he’d love to keep learning with a family of his very own. He’s good with other playful dogs, kids, and even cats. He thinks he’s a lap dog and loves to try to melt into you for some cuddles. He can’t wait to be a part of your family!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on our website. If a dog is no longer listed on the Adoptable Dogs page, it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
