Sweet little Paige was seen wandering around a neighborhood down South for about a week, looking lost and lonely. Kind neighborhood folks tried to get assistance from their animal control and sheriff’s department, but when that when unanswered and Paige was still struggling on her own, our amazing and reputable rescue friends were contacted. These tireless rescue friends spend their days – and even many nights – rescuing strays from the depressing epidemic of abandoned (and typically unaltered) animals down South. We’re so very grateful for all their compassion and efforts, so when they said “we’re full” we knew their limits were truly hit and we were happy to have Paige join New England Lab Rescue.  

 

Paige has a gentle, submissive personality, and is incredibly friendly. This sweetie is eager to love and trust the people around her despite how she was found – hungry, abandoned, and suffering from itchy flea dermatitis. She’s had a chance to get all fixed up and recuperate with plenty of love and pampering, and now she’s ready to find her official happily ever-after! She is crate trained and mostly doing great with signaling for potty breaks, though it can be hard to hold it in when things are exciting! She’s very treat-motivated and knows some basic cues like sit and down. She can be a little timid at first after so many big changes in her short life, but once she’s comfy she’ll let all her love shine through. She loves playtime with other dogs, toys, and does well on leash. She’ll also be a lap dog if you have the room! She can’t wait to love and be loved in a family of her own ❤️

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
