Samba came all the way from Puerto Rico to New England to find her happily ever-after! She was found as a stray, something common in Puerto Rico, where lack of spaying/neutering for a streak of years has lead to a huge influx of dogs lacking homes, so like many US rescues, we have pledged to help when possible. Thankfully there are many amazing rescue friends over there who took good care of this little sweetie, giving her love and vetting to prep for her big trip to New England!
Samba is a socialized, friendly girl that loves being around her people and seems to have been used to home life at some point before abandonment. This smart pup is bilingual and knows a few English and Spanish basic cues. She’s having fun settling in and testing out all the toys – squeakers and fetch are topping the list! Some fun notes from her PR foster: “She’s the kind of pup who makes you fall in love fast.” And “…she’s been a total dream —gentle, calm, and affectionate.” And some more fun notes since arriving at her New England foster home, "Samba has arrived, and she’s already melting hearts. She’s the kind of lovebug who just wants to be close to her people. When she is curled up beside you it’s like she has known you forever. She radiates this soft, gentle sweetness.” She’s been great with other dogs, good with the kiddos she’s met, and is curious but friendly and trainable with cats. She likes playtime and walks, but also values time spent snuggled up with her besties at home. She just wants to be part of a loving pack ❤️
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
