Sweet Tassel was saved from a crowded southern shelter by our rescue friends before she could reach the euthanasia list. You may recognize this beautiful gal from our recent Have a Heart Fundraiser for heartworm treatments. During her routine vetting, she was found to be heartworm-positive so she stayed down south a little longer to go through her treatment, but now she’s all done, feeling great and is ready to find her loving forever home in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine (*due to some state’s regulations regarding transport of recently heartworm positive animals). Thank you so much to all who donated, every bit helped! 

 

Tassel was named for the adorable “tassel” of fur on the tip of her tail 😍 She is super sweet and so excited for her happily ever-after to begin! She’s potty & crate trained, and also has been good when left uncrated. She can sometimes be shy with new people and situations (understandable after all the big changes and hard times in her short life) but she loves playtime with other silly dogs and comes out of her shell when she has the safety to simply be a pup. She would probably enjoy a home with a dog sibling that she can pal around with and share lots of time to be happy and carefree. Tassel also loves toys and her southern foster says she “howls with happiness” which melts our hearts! We are so excited to see Tassel settled into a loving home where she can let all her joy spread to her new family and friends!

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
