Sweet Tassel was saved from a crowded southern shelter by our rescue friends before she could reach the euthanasia list. You may recognize this beautiful gal from our Have a Heart Fundraiser for heartworm treatments. During her routine vetting, she was found to be heartworm-positive so she stayed down south a little longer to go through her treatment, but now she’s all done, feeling great and is ready to find her loving forever home in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine (*due to some state’s regulations regarding transport of recently heartworm-positive animals). Thank you so much to all who donated, every bit helped! 

 

Tassel was named for the adorable “tassel” of fur on the tip of her tail 😍 She is super sweet and can’t wait to find a best friend to spend her life with! She’s potty & crate trained, and also has been good when left uncrated. When she first arrived to New England, she was very shy around new situations, but we are thrilled to say she has blossomed into a confident pup that can do all the things – meet new people, travel to horse shows, go on fun hikes... She just needs a beat to check things out and then she happy as a clam. On that note, Tassel has one of the best smiles we've ever seen and is a master of adorable play bow posture as well as celebrating when her favorite humans come home 🥳 This sweet, funny girl will keep you entertained and feeling joyful!

 

She bonds deeply and has a lot of love to give. She’s a silly girl at heart that loves playtime with other playful dogs and  would probably enjoy a home with a dog sibling that she can pal around with and share lots of time to be happy and carefree. Tassel also loves toys and her southern foster said she “howls with happiness” for them, which melts our hearts! We are so excited to see Tassel settled into a loving home where she can let all her joy spread to her new family!

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
