Beau was surrendered to NELR because of a difficult divorce situation where everyone agreed he deserved more time and attention. He was confused at first but is engaged and distracted by a life of trying new things with his foster; blueberries—delish!, bell peppers—intriguing, cucumbers—blech, weird! His foster says, “Beau is a curious and lovable 1-year-old black lab who is always eager to please! He could play fetch all day long, and he never forgets to bring the ball back! Beau is fully potty trained, sleeps through the night in his crate, and knows how to sit on command. We’re currently working on “stay” and helping him learn to walk politely on a leash.” He gets along with other playful dogs and loves playtime, but we think he would really enjoy being an only-dog in the home to soak up all the love (and return it ten-fold!). He’s fun boy that loves life and can’t wait to make the most of it with you!

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
