Sweet, little Raineer was on the euthanasia list in Texas because the shelters had to make room for all the displaced dogs during the tragic floods. He had barely begun to live his life, so we are so thankful for the rescue community for coming together and helping him (and many others) find safety in rescues, like NELR. We can’t wait to find an awesome New England family for this super adorable, barely-brindle, white-toesied boy! He was understandably very confused and scared in the big, loud shelter, but he’s been doing great settling into foster home life. He’s a crate champ, and is doing well with potty training. He’s loving, happy, and excited for this new, positive chapter and his happily ever-after! Continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your house is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member.

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
