Julius and his littermates were being fostered on a farm down south but were sadly left behind by the rescue that said they would take them. The South is so overrun with strays and overfull kill shelters that southern fosters desperately need to keep spaces opening in order to keep animals alive, so after an urgent plea to NELR (and our amazing volunteers scrambling for transport and foster coverage), we’re happy to report that these babies are now in New England and looking for their forever homes! They were raised around children, chickens, goats, dogs, and more, so they are super friendly with everyone. They are also crate trained and ride well in the car. These pups are playful, loving, curious, and ready to learn with forever families of their own! Continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your house is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member.

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
