Happy and her siblings had a sad start to life but are excited for this second chance at a happily ever-after. They spent their early years in crates out in a barn with little care and less love. It took a “rescue village” to get them out and avoid the euthanasia list (the southern shelters are constantly so full that they need to keep spaces moving and these sweeties needed some extra time to decompress before being ready for adoption). Thankfully we have some amazing rescue friends who work tirelessly to spare valuable lives like these, that deserve a chance to feel comfort, love, and care. Happy and her siblings are SO sweet and have been adjusting well to being spoiled and loved on! 

 

Happy is an easy-going, chill girl that has been doing amazing at rolling with foster life. She does walks fine, rides in the car well, plays with other dogs, and is excited to meet new people. Most of all, Happy LOVES positive human attention. She would be so overjoyed in a full household, surrounded by love, attention, and good vibes. She is gentle and affectionate, eager to please, and very treat-motivated. She’s been having fun with doggy toys, and is doing well with pottying in the right place. Due to her past, she has mixed feelings about her crate - with the door open it is a nice place to hang out, and is even ok with the door closed and people around, but she’d prefer not to be locked in while her humans are away. Her skin and eyes are still in the healing process after irritations and fleas from her previous life, but she is feeling soooo much better after getting all her vetting and care, and has taken any treatments well, like pampering. The beauty from within certainly overshadows any patchiness this sweet soul has! She’s gentle and mellow, content to have relaxing days full of naps, good food, toys, and - most importantly - pats and cuddles from her humans. She is so very sweet and soooo receptive to love, it will surely melt your heart! She is definitely going to be some lucky adopters “heart dog.”

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
