Ally was so scared when she was surrendered to a southern shelter. She had been kept out on a line and didn’t seem to have been given much love, so the kind shelter folks started bringing her on “daycations” to help brighten her spirits. This is a great program that shelters have started to implement when possible, so the dogs can relax, get some joy, and we can all learn more about their real personalities away from a loud, foreign-smelling shelter. These trips helped Ally get more excited to see her new shelter friends, and she proved to be great for car rides, on walks/runs, out at dog-friendly shops and restaurants, and was happy to make friends with new people and dogs. She even got to visit some volunteer homes to snuggle up for a movie! She’s been good around kiddos and excited to meet and play with other dogs. For a pup that didn’t have a great start at life, she’s doing SO well! She’s well-mannered and learns quickly, like ‘sit’ and ‘shake.’ She looooves positive attention and getting pats, scratchies, belly rubs, cuddles, etc. She’s been good on leash and even does well as a running buddy. She gets excited for new and wonderful things like pup cups and playtime, but she also settles well and is calm and lovey. This girl is going to be fun to spoil!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
